The two upper chambers each have an 8-leg percolator diffuser. Above the diffusers is an ice ring that acts as a splash guard to avoid water splashing out. Using this piece feels almost as smooth as a vaporizer.

I had this bong several years ago. easily one of the best pieces of glass I've owned. it hits smoothly and the percs do their job wonderfully. also worth noting is that over the years this bong took several falls onto hardwood floors (due to my dog and careless, clumsy roomates) and it survived every one. only downside is the percs are hard to clean, but it comes with the territory for any bong with complex percolators. overall a solid piece and more than worth the price tag. I've had way worse bongs with double the price.
